Life is a Garden . . .

Many treechangers enjoy the process of creating their own acreage garden, with associated benefits of healthy outdoor physical activity in a beautiful environment. As a designer specialising in subtropical acreage gardens, I enjoy helping clients to realise their dreams by providing a garden plan with an accompanying appropriate plant list to enhance the attributes of each individual property...

The subtropical climate can produce it's fair share of challenges; prolonged dry periods, especially in spring; severe summer storms; cyclonic autumn winds and flooding rains - from coastal margins with salt-laden onshore winds, to frost-prone hinterland creek valleys. Good subtropical garden design should take into account the microclimate of the individual site, enhancing and complementing a property's sense of place in harmony with architecture and lifestyle.
